Helping a family member, whether it is your spouse fiancé(e),child,parent or brother or sister become a permanent resident of the US, Foreigners with eligible family members who are either US citizens

or permanent residents can apply for a US Green Card through their family. A Green Card through family can be granted to immediate relatives (IR) and through any of the four preference categories (F1-F4).

• IMMEDIATE RELATIVE OF US CITIZEN (IR) The Immediate Relative Green Card category allows US citizens to sponsor their foreign spouses, children and parents to apply for permanent residence in the US.
• SPOUSE OR CHILD OF US PERMANENT RESIDENT (F2) :This Green Card category allows permanent residents of the US to sponsor their foreign spouses and children to become US permanent residents.
• CHILD OF US CITIZEN (F1-F3)These Green Card categories allow US citizens to sponsor their married and un-married children to become US permanent residents.
• SIBLING OF US CITIZEN (F4) The Sibling of US Citizen category allows US citizens to sponsor their brothers and sisters to gain permanent residence in the United States.
